Acetohexamide

Acetohexamide is a first generation sulfonylurea medication used to treat Diabetes mellitus type-2,particularly in people whose diabetes cannot be controlled by diet alone.

Contraindications
Acetohexamide is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity,Pregnancy,Insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.
Effects
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Acetohexamide are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Fever, Skin reactions, Breathlessness, Hypoglycemia.
